National Mentoring Resource Center (NMRC) Technical Assistance (TA) might be the best thing to happen to the field of mentoring since I’ve been in it. For the cost of a 10-minute application, the NMRC will cover up to 50 hours of consultation to your program every year. I won’t take your money if you can get your needs met through the NMRC.
I am a certified Technical Assistance Provider for the NMRC. Since I live in Northern Virginia, I work through MENTOR Virginia. However, the NMRC has funded my consultation to programs all over the United States.
What's Covered
Focus on Capacity-Building
All NMRC TA has to be oriented towards building capacity. It can focus on implementation or evaluation. Evaluation-focused TA can include training and education and most tasks associated with process evaluation or preparing to do an outcome evaluation. That includes: conducting interviews, building a logic model, designing surveys, trainings, tools to score and interpret the data you collect, etc. For anything that is not covered by the NMRC, I can help you through ARC.
Getting Started
Apply in 10 Minutes
If you would like to have me provide TA through the NMRC, you can apply online and specify that you want to work with me. Alternatively, you can reach out directly to Emma Rush at MENTOR Virginia. Emma processes my NMRC projects before I begin the work and will be happy to answer any questions you have about applying.
